– A guy commenting on my music for my father on YouTube
“Waaaah! Waaah! My father is going to die and old man in a well-developed country with basically free and great healthcare! Waaaaah! Waaaah! I’ve had to write a melancholic melody on my guitar while I’m trying to cope in this oh-so difficult circumstance I’ve gotten into! WAAAAAAH! WAAAAAH! Don’t worry about children dying in Gaza, worry about me! WAAAAAH! MEEEEEE!”
– Sarcastaball on YouTube
Hi! I have been studying the piece Canon in D on classical guitar following a great youtube video (Fingerstyle with TABS) and I cannot find it anymore and the message that is given is: Video unavailable This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Per-Olov Kindgren. To me this is wrong and I wished to voice my disapproval of your money hungry minds for copywriting this song since firstly it is by you but by Pachebel and second, music should be free and shared, If you would please help putting back the video or at least try to explain your reasoning (which I doubt can be explained other that egocentrism) I would appreciate the illumination. Thank you and you suck
– Patrick David
Dear Per-Olov, over the years I have very much enjoyed your artistry, your romantic compositions/arrangements and emotive playing of which your version of Oblivion is a perfect example. Many of your original works I have bought and played, imperfectly, taking joy from your music resonating in my heart. Thank you so much for sharing yourself so selflessly with us, for the love you bring to a fractured world. I wish you only happiness and good health, knowing that you have touched so many people through your love for the guitar. With warmest regards.
– Andreas
Dear Per-Olov, When I was a kid I was looking for people performing guitar pieces I was studying and I came across your videos. At the time, maybe 13 years ago, there were a very few videos of classical guitarists and yours helped me to improve. Now I’m 25 and even though I’m not a professional musician, guitar has always been a very important part of my life and myself. I couldn’t tell why but I feel like I grew up with your videos. Thank you for your work, I wish you all the best. Kindly, from France.
– Valentin
My name is Ana and I am 13 years old, I am from Brazil but I have lived in Portugal since I was a little girl. I wanted to tell you that I love your videos! I think that the melodies that you play are very relaxing and beautiful, I also find it a very noble act that you don’t advertise your videos. And compared to today’s music which has no quality at all, your songs are more beautiful and rare than ever! I really wish my colleagues liked your songs as much as I do.
I confess that I listen to your melodies a lot, to study, to sleep, when I want to relax… the first time I heard your melodies was with my mother who also became your fan! I mustn’t forget that I also showed your videos to my art teacher and he was delighted and became a fan.
Lastly I just wanted to tell you that I had started playing guitar a few months ago but as my routine was full and the level of difficulty was rising I decided to give up, but seeing your videos I decided to come back, your passion has become my inspiration! I wanted to thank you for all the inspiration you have given me and your relaxing videos that help me so much throughout the day.
Hugs from your number 1 fan
– Ana
Dear Mr. Kindgren, for years we have been enthusiastic about your wonderful guitar pieces and the wonderful way you play the guitar. They simply touch and enchant. We wanted to tell you that we were listening to your guitar pieces while our children were being born. It was a wonderful atmosphere and made the birth even more special. We wish you all the best – and we are looking forward to hearing even more from you!
– Stephanie & Simon
Hi Peo. I just wanted to write a message to say that you are one of the main reason I play guitar, and that guitar plays a big part in my life. I am still a pretty mediocre guitar player, but when I started out many years ago your videos were by far the best things I had to follow. They were the first thing that got me to take the guitar seriously. I’ve bought a couple of your arrangements years ago but I’ll be buying some more, thank you for everything you have done! Tak!
– Tom
Dear Per-Olov,
Ever since I discovered your website almost six years ago – when I was looking for a guitar arrangement of Pachelbel’s Canon in D – I have been a big fan of your music. I am always playing at least one Kindgren piece, and when I am about to finish with one, there must be the next waiting in line. Whether it’s your arrangements, often of pieces that I never would have thought that they could be played at all and sound so amazing on classical guitar, or your beautiful and sensitive (and sometimes also lighthearted – but I am more the melancholy type) original compositions, I have enjoyed playing all of them immensely. I am also really impressed by your expressive interpretations and I think (hope!) that I have been able to pick up a little bit of that style. So thank you very much for enriching my life as a guitarist (and as human being) in so many ways and providing a source of comfort and distraction during these stressful pandemic times! Kind regards, take care and stay healthy!– Meike
Hi Per-Olov,
Just want to say thank you for the study material you have created that is available for purchase. Helps me as a beginner in classical guitar hugely when it comes to technique and reading music as intended. Thank you as well as for your fantastic arrangements and interpretations of classic songs, and not least your own creations. Never thought that as a faithful hard rocker and toddler parent, one would be saved by classical guitar, but maybe that’s the calm of the storm around. A really good source of inspiration. Hope you stay healthy during these (CoVid-19) times and continue with what you do for as long as you can! Again, thank you! Yours sincerely, Fredrik.
– Frederik (from Sweden)
Dear Per-Olov,
So many late nights have I enjoyed with your BEAUTIFUL music….! I should have mentioned them all… Be aware that you really add something essential to my life… With deep respect and many, many thanks.
From The Nethelands with love.– Johan van Sweden
Hi I purchased your playbook 18 months ago and still love your easy to follow songbook (the best I’ve ever purchased over 45 years of playing fingerstyle guitar)
Love your work. Cheers!– Alan
Dear Mr Kindgren, you are the reason why my 7-year-old son started to learn playing the guitar last year. I showed him when he was about 5 years old your videos on youtube because I have been a big fan of your music for a long time. From that day on, he wanted to be able to play guitar like you did. You are for him “the famous man ” and his great role model. I’m looking forward to the day where maybe he can play some of your compositions himself. We love your music so much. Thank you very much for that. Warm greetings and happy Easter from Germany
– Grit with son Alexander
Please let me share with you how grateful to you I am for your music’s ability to pull me out of the mud. I almost gave up guitar playing 8 years ago, frustrated with playing standard classical repertoire, not enjoying it and then I discovered you and realized if I could play your music I would begin to really enjoy what I was hearing. IT WORKED like choosing our own style of clothing that makes us feel better,. I now have learned many many of your songs and feel so good about my guitar playing. You are not only a master but a true inspiration. Thank you Dear Swedish Brother. Take care.
– Laird M.
Dear Per-Olov, I am so much enjoying learning to play more of your music! I just learned the ones called Tender Love and El Burro Viejo and I am now learning the Pavane Hommage to Gabriel Faure. What a magical piece that is! It sounds so exotic, so beautiful from start to finish. All your compositions are beautifully crafted and although you told me once in an e mail that your goal was not necessarily write virtuosic music of great difficulty, but rather music more accessible to the non virtuoso, your music, such as this Faure Hommage would be so suitable for any concert stage. It is all of great quality and I thank you for writing it and making it available to us.
– David
Hello, Per-Olov, I just wanted to let you know how much of an inspiration you are to me. You are a professional musicial – I am not. I’m a medical doctor, I can’t grow nails, I have never attended musical school, I can’t spend so much time as you have practicing – yet you inspire me to become better. I am a huge fan. Please keep on doing what you’re doing. You are the best.
– Best wishes, Błażej
Hello Mr. Kindgren, I know you don’t need this message, since many people around our globe appreciate your music, but I just have to tell you how much I enjoy your songs and the classical music pieces. I live in Israel and work at the National Library and I’m listening to your wonderful melodies while I’m trying to find out what the different books and articles are talking about.. THANK YOU SO MUCH that’s all what I wanted to say. May you be blessed through all this beauty you give to all of us. Shalom
– Yoela (Israel)
Dear Per-Olov, I have a little story for you and I hope my English is good enough to tell it if I may. One of my favorite composition that you wrote is “I left you sleeping”, l love it so much. Often I sit in my garden and play on my old Yamaha and this beautiful piece of music is always there. One afternoon when I stopped playing a blackbird startet to sing and I couldn’t believe my ears. He really sang the first phrase of your composition! At first I thought it was a coincidence, but after he repeated his singing several times I was shure he learnd it from my playing. And since a few days I am woken up every morning by this bird and your melody, a little wonder for me and a big thank you to you and your wonderful music. Best regards.
– Wolfgang S (Germany)
I must have watched your youtube video of Canon in D 50 times. I just bought a classical guitar because of the sounds that came out of that video. I’ve played for about 16 years mostly just so I could sing along. Those tabs I purchased have my fingers moving in ways I never imagined they could. It’s going to take time to play the song in its entirety. You make it look so easy. You inspired me to pursue my love for classical music. Thanks for the sheet music.
– Ryan
I’ve been a big fan for a while. Your music is indeed special, and I am truly amazed at the beauties you continue to put out there. For me, you are, musically speaking, on a par with Dylan and the Beatles. Thank you for making your music available to the rest of us mortals.
– Francis (from Germany)
I love your music. It is my fantasy to be able to play as smoothly and expressively as you do. I admire the way you communicate your message to us through your music. Over time, I desire to own the music for all of your compositions, but there are so many, I must pick and choose. Thanks for all of your music. You make the world a brighter place, with each note your write, and each note you play.
– Don in Canada
Your sores are too expensive for the quality; low creativity. You offer everything under the sun to make a buck but neglect the beauty of the music and the sharing invoked with others. You hold your guitar in the most unusual style and counter to classical methodology. That makes your hand angel far from optimum. That means your access to the fret board and strings is poor compared to Rodrigo, Pepe, the Ramerizes, etc. – no comparison to Segovia or Tarrega; not even close my dear. People from Denmark pal boringly, without felling and sensitivity-like you. Go to the Danish symphony Copenhagen, e.g. I once listened to Rodrigo perform with the orchestra. he was terrific and the orchestra was a bunch of stoic, unemotional robots. That is exactly how you play Sir.
– Anonymous calling himself Master Segovia
Per-Olov Kindgren brings a spectacular touch to the songs he interprets on the guitar.
His mastery of classical technique is obvious. Peo imparts sensitivity and emotion and all-round fine tuning, rendering consistent performances that shine with purity.
Classical guitar is a tough task master, demanding hours of attention, sore muscles and fingers, and rigorous attention to detail. It takes years of training and even then differences can be heard among players–not just in interpretation but in clarity of playing.
Peo Kindgren makes it appear almost effortless, such is his skill level.
Truly, this man is a great guitarist and one hopes we will see more of his music and genius as time goes on.– Athlyn Green
Dear Per-Olov Kindgren I’d like to thank you for the sweet and grand performances you record and share. Your skillful playing the classical pieces gives one so much pleasure and peace that only some rare guitarists like Segovia or John Williams have achieved to do, while you have cutely and aptly selected the works ones always felt sorry of their being missed among those guitarists’ records – Albinoni’s “Adagio”; Bach’s “Air on G String” or “Joy on Man’s Desiring”. And your “Romance” is perfect too.
– Darius F. (from Persia)
A person who has been trained in the classical music and the instruments, like the classical guitar, has the makings of a prodigy. We can all agree that classical music is a different beast to its more modern counterparts, especially the rock guitar. There’s a certain feel to listening to classical guitar music as opposed to immersing yourself in today’s modern music. There is actually a wealth of good classical music out there for the classical guitar if you just take the time to look around.
If you’re looking for soothing classical music, Per-Olov Kindgren’s “After Silence” comes highly recommended.
After Silence is Per-Olov’s debut album, released two years ago on February 2008. It’s loaded with 23 tracks of absolute classical guitar perfection. To summarize, “After Silence” is a powerhouse of classical music designed to bring the mind to a state of calm and clarity. Having a bad day at the office? Plug your earphones in and play After Silence, and soon enough you’ll enter a meditative trance in which your mind will work the way it’s designed to.
After Silence (which is also the title of the opening track) can be best described as a concept album. Hence, all tracks are tied to one another in a story which you can only comprehend and appreciate if you listen closely to the music. After all, there are no vocals or lyrics to these pieces, just pure classical guitar playing from Per-Olov.
Each track has its own attribute and story to offer the audience. “After Silence,” features moving arpeggios and thundering bass notes that snaps your full attention to the music, like someone shaking your shoulder after a long silence in a conversation. “I Dream of You,” is a quiet yet moving piece in a tempo that can bring you close to sleep and, as the title says, to dream of someone you hold dear.
All in all, Per-Olov’s After Silence is a good… no, excellent buy for classical music lovers out there. This album can be a very good therapy for those that are having emotional troubles, and those whose days are so hectic that they probably couldn’t find breathing space.
– Review of “After Silence”
Thank you for the beautiful music. It is so relaxing yet exciting at the same time (if that makes any sense to you). The first time I heard you play, was stairway to heaven and i was amazed because I have never heard it played so affectionately. I have listened to many of the works you have performed but i do believe that the recent piece that you have created (I wrote you a song) is probably my personal favorite. You have inspired me to pick up my guitar and approach the art once again but with a renewed sense of passion. Music is the only way to express myself in a language that perhaps only some can understand. In closing, i once again thank you and look forward to hearing sounds that fill the silence in an otherwise chaotic world.
– Dan
Mr. Kindgren, My wife and I walked down the aisle to your rendition of Pachelbel’s Canon in D, and each time I encounter it again, it brings me back to one of the happiest moments of my existence. Of the dozens of renditions of the Canon we listened to, yours was the only one the sensitivity, grace, and sprightliness of which matched her own. I am indebted to you for creating a work of supreme skill and beauty that mirrors the compassion and gentleness of the best woman I have known, and for providing us both with a memory that will echo throughout our lifetimes. Thank you!
-Eric M.
Dear Mr. Kindgren,
I am an engineer with a passion for classical guitar.
I purchased a couple of pieces from you some time ago, one of which was “Sheep May Safely Graze” by J.S. Bach. I can now play thru it and wanted to extend my deep gratitude for both the arrangement and the quality of the notation (particularly the helpful fingering tips). It is very playable (is that a wrord?), makes sense, and, it “sings” as it should. I hope to present it at the local guitar club this month.
I am fortunate to have come across your arrangement and wanted to express my sincere gratitude for both your effort in the arrangement and willingness to sell the sheet music.
Best Regards,-Steve G. B.
My english is not very good but i try to express my admiration when i listen your different composition…Your music is absolutely marvelous and restful, it is a pleasure to look when you run your fingers on the string of your guitare.
Thank you very much and give us dreams because the world as need of this.
Have a good year.-Loic C, France
Mr. Per-Olov Kindgren,
My science teacher actually sent me your YouTube channel and said, “listen to this while doing any work.” Well, your music is the most calming and mind-soothing music ever! I can do algebra listening to your music and feel really great and calm! Please upload more to Youtube! Every time I am doing any work, I log on to YouTube and play one of your playlists. I love your guitar skill, I haven’t seen such amazing playing of the classical guitar ever! Thank You for the lovely music!-Raahil
Incredible… absolutely incredible…
This is why music is so important for so many… it can express feelings words just can’t describe, and the emotions that you put into your performances are so riveting and passionate it changes the meaning. So much so that you can actually feel the music, and not only hear, but feel the emotion in it, and that is what true music is.
Thank you so much for sharing your blessing with the world.-Camryn Smith
Dear Maestro,
I have learned so much from your YouTube of “Sons de Carrilhoes” I felt compelled to write to write and offer my appreciation.
This a favorite “Choro” of mine but your technique and nuance have truly crowned the piece with the wonderful accents you incorporate and have improved my effort substantially.
Yes, I am not only a fan but an occasional contributor to your pocket book with purchases. May I add that my maestro (a world class musician) often charges me with……….”Tom, listen to Kindgren – he has it right, many do not!”.
That’s both high and deserving praise so I offer you my best and thank you for all you bring to world of classical guitar and it’s associate finger style music.Warmest regards,
—Thomas
Sir, I don’t pretend to have enough understanding about music, but in my modest opinion you are one of the finest modern classical guitarist. Your technique is impeccable, and I don’t know how you do it, but the emotion you put into your music is almost tangible, pouring back into the listeners souls from the very first stroke you make. It is a pure joy, elevating and at the same time wrenching, almost painful experience, to listen to you, as it causes an unimaginable sadness to know that this level of mastery is unattainable to me, earthbound creature, or in fact to many others trying… Thank you once again.
-Joanna Diniz
May I just add that I came across your playing on the internet and was really amazed by the exquisite touch and sensitivity to the music you play. After not really playing properly for some time I have started to try to play the guitar again. My wife also loved the piece you composed for the Paris terrorist attack this was a beautiful response to such an awful event. I hope that you will get to the UK at some point I would love to listen to you play live. The music you play is filled with beauty and as John Keats the poet said “A thing of beauty is a joy forever”.It is a wonderful gift that you bring to others……long may it continue.
—Michael
Per-Olov, I have to write and tell you how beautiful that composition is. I aspire to play Weiss’ Prelude in e minor and so I have bought your composition. I really admire you because you are not afraid of playing pieces that range in technical difficulty. But again, this is so stunning — a fabulous tribute.
—John
I LOVE to listen to all your stuff on youtube and I listen A LOT!
You are an EXCELLENT classical guitarist and, frankly, I shamelessly steal everything I can!! I’m already on your subscribe list but that’s not why I’m writing… I just wanted to praise your wonderful talent.
You are, what we in the American guitar world call, a MONSTER!!!
So anyway, long life, good health, and always keep playing !!—A devoted fan and supporter from New London, Connecticut
Dear Mister Kindgren,
I hope you will be indulgent with me, because of my poor skills in english.
In french, I should have more possibilities to express myself, but for you, I will try in english.
First of all, I would like to inform you that I see your videos very often, and you are, with John Williams, the two guitarists I like a lot, and which are a reference for me.
I like particularly the way you arrange and you play the music compositions (especially J.S. Bach’s ones. For example, I never heard Air on G string played with such a sense of nuance).
The way you play with regularity and the inner peace we guess you reach to plays in accordance with the composer, give to your listeners a great felling of fullness. Only the great players can give a message to the soul.Every day, my brother and me, we talk on the phone about J.S. Bach, techniques to play the guitar, and about you too. I started to play the guitar when I was 9 years, and my brother started a few month ago, and he is very passionate.
My brother and me don’t live in the same city, and we see each other one time every two years, but thanks to Bach, thanks to the guitar, thanks to you, I won a new brother which is now like a friend. That is why I wanted to say to you : “Congratulations and thank you for all, mister Kindgren”.
Your sincerely,—Maurice B
“What a pleasure is to say to you HELLO Mr. Per-Olov. I have been blessed, ever since I learned of your YouTube videos, it so, I have taken myself to guitar school. Because of you, I have calm my spirit and one I hope to play to imitate you. May Jehovah bless you with of HIS power. I just wanted to say thank you, but the love you have help implanted in me for music is out of this world, only to be compared for the love to my children.
yours truly.”— Aristofanes
“Per-Olov: Your modest work is moving away from the modest boundary and reaching the benchmark status. Whoever ask me about tips on classical guitar learning will get you as a important part of the answer. Keep up with your serenity.”
— Alberto a Canadian/Brazilian listener
“Per-Olov you are the most accomplished guitarist in our generation. Your technical skills and techniques are only matched by your own marvelous sensitivity and tenderness to each song rendition that you have arranged. Your choice of music is rich and varied and places emphasis on the guitar’s rich heritage as a solo instrument. I love your music and I am your biggest fan.”
— Antonio, Mexico
“Mr. Kindgren, For me music is a gift to man. It reflects the emotions and the spirit of the player. your music reflects your personality, your spirit. And I can say that you have a good and calm spirit. keep it up sir! Mabuhay ka po Ginoong Kindgren (that is long live to you Mr. Kindgren in Filipino).”
— From a fellow guitarist, Seikun
“Peo, YOU are THE gem. You touch us with your beautiful music. And that beautiful music comes directly from your heart. Your honesty, your joy, your sorrow…and your passion for life and love. It’s all there in your music. Keep playing and keep inspiring us the way you do. There is no one like you. You’re a very precious gift to this world.
The light on the bookshelf is the light of happiness. In this case, happiness (the light) found you. (no pun intended)
It moved to you and was shining brightly on you toward the end of the video.“Happiness is a butterfly, which, when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly,
may alight upon you.” -Nathaniel HawthorneCongratulations again on your CD, happiness, and success. You deserve it.
”— Rina Lee
“Hi Sir, I have been playing guitar for more than 10 years. I must admit this, you play with so much feelings, smoothness, dignity. I wish one day ill be able to play a song with as much deepness as you Sir. You almost made me cry with these so wonderful songs, you play with so much talent, we can actually tell you put everything you have into it. Which is everyone playing music should do. No feeling = No song. But you Sir make any song a masterpiece.”
— Anonymous listener on YouTube
“I never commented on music before, but your music is just so captivating that i cant help myself but to comment and show my support 4 u. Your music is truly magical and filled with emotions. I wonder will i ever be as good as you are someday. For now, I’m learning to play cavatina as well as you do. Until then, Thanks a lot mr. Kindgren. Fight On”
— Dick on YouTube
“Hey Per-Olov! You are living proof that original masterpieces CAN come from the 21’st century. I’ve listened to your music for quite a while, and it is timeless. Being a fan of mostly 80’s metal, and the romantic period, this is some very inspiring music even though it’s not exactly metal :). In the future I believe you will have a huge impact on the current trash heap of the music industry! You’ve truly inspired a metal head like me!
Best wishes for your bright future!!!”
— Wilson on Vimeo
“You are an inspiration. As an incompetent amateur I should not express an opinion but I have to say – you have such technical ability but always you deliver pure music, from the heart, never ever putting technique first. I recently bought “After Silence”. Every time I play it, I hear more, something new, learn more. I have CD’s of Williams, Bream and others. I listen to them occasionally but already I have played yours more times than any of those.
I’m learning Tarrega’s E-minor Study. Have you recorded it? I thought I had seen you play it on YouTube, but I can’t find it, maybe I was wrong (I can see your “easy” version).
Kindest regards”
— Bill A.
“Hay artistas que pueden interpretar a un solo compositor, otros que pueden interpretar musica del periodo barroco, otros el romantico pero hay muy pocos que pueden interpretar toda la musica escrita, cualquiera sea el periodo, el pais, el instrumento elegido o la edad del compositor del compositor.
Per-Olov es sin duda uno de ellos!
There are artists that can interpret a single composer, others that can interpret music of the Baroque, other period the romantic one but there is very few that can interpret the whole written music, anyone is the period, the country, the elected instrument or the age of the composer’s composer.
Per-Olov belongs without a doubt one to them!”— from California, USA
“Per-Olov, I have to tell you, you have cost me several thousand pounds. Here is the sequence of events…
I started playing guitar about 2 yrs ago at the tender age of 58, using my wife’s rarely used steel stringed instrument.
Then I heard you on YouTube and decided I needed an appropriate instrument to learn my kind of music – first thousand gone.
Then my wife saw that I was getting serious, practicing whenever I could, but that the house was rarely quiet enough, cat, dogs, television, phone… And she had heard me comment on how some of your videos were in what appeared to be a bare, wood-paneled room of some sort and understood that our house was too softly furnished, absorbing everything, deadening.
So then came to us the idea we might like a small log cabin in the garden – potentially useful when Scottish weather try’s to spoil a barbecue. At least that was what we said. It arrives this week – another three thousand gone.”
— from London, England
Dear Mr. Kindgren,
Thank you so very much for all the music over the years! Your work is simply breathtaking.
My name is Mark, I began studying the guitar when I was 8 years old. For the majority of my life, throughout my teens, 20’s, and 30’s, the guitar and I were almost inseparable. Life did get in the way from time to time, but I always came back to the guitar. Then, in 2005, I injured my left hand very badly.
Needless to say, I fell into a deep depression because I could no longer play the guitar. Eventually I sold all of my guitars. And my depression continued to worsen. Then my life began to spiral out of control. Nothing seemed to go right for me. My wife left me; I lost my job, my house, my car—and even my dog died!
Mr. Kindgren, if not for your music, I might not have survived! The music that you have posted on YouTube has seen me through the worst and darkest days of my life; and you have even inspired me to once again take up the guitar. While I do not have any delusions of grandeur about becoming a live stage performer—yes, those were my dreams as a child and young adult but now I desire to play simply for my own enjoyment, and sanity.
Once again, thank you so much; I owe my life!
Sincerely yours,
Mark
Dear Per-Olov,
I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your beautiful talent with the world. Each song is individually unique and beautiful and reminds me that the world is, indeed, a beautiful place with kind people in it.
My fiance was extremely excited with the tabs for “I miss you”, but more so, he was taken aback by the beauty and emotion of the entire album. You see, he is starting an Emergency Medicine Residency for young to-be physicians, and I think in his midst of stress…you speak to him in ways that no one else can.
Again, thank you so much for showing us the kindness and love of those around us.
Tatyana
Hello Mr. Kindgren,
I emailed you about two and a half years ago after finishing the first year of my degree in classical guitar. I just wanted to talk to you again, as I’m almost halfway through my fourth year of my degree, and preparing for final juries and a number of upcoming recitals, and I know I couldn’t be here without your music.
I wanted to let you know that you are still my favourite guitarist, and I eagerly await your weekly videos via YouTube and Vimeo. I listen to your CD “After Silence” daily and still find new things to love about it. Your music has taught me and continues to teach me so much about tone, phrasing, and emotion in music.
In closing, I’d just like to thank you again for your music, it has done so much for me, and I wouldn’t be on the path I am today without it.Calvin
Hi,
It was you who inspired me to take up the classical guitar after a 18 year break.
This was about 6 years ago…when I first bought your sheet music (after listening on utube)
I’ve now finished all my grades (honours) and now working on the diploma (AMUSA).
So, thanks for ‘your’ inspiration (resurrecting a little gift) and the joy of guitar playing.
