These four short Preludes were originally composed for the piano. When I arranged them for the classical guitar, my main purpose was to make more of Johann Sebastian Bach’s music accessible to a wider range of guitarists. There are so many difficult pieces arranged for the guitar of his music that are unobtainable for most “non-professional” guitarists. And, to be honest, not always suitable for solo guitar with their immense complexity.
The arrangements here, can be played separately or as a “suite”. If you plan to play them as a suite (together after each other), please keep the order as they are in this edition; (939, 941, 940, 934) so they make a complete whole, regarding to the keys and tempi.
