This is a strange one… I saw a music documentary about Italian pianist Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli (1920 – 1995) He is considered one of the greatest pianists of the twentieth century but for most people he is totally unknown. I was absolutely mesmerized by his playing and his life story and personality. Obviously not a very nice person but, my God, what a pianist! He had a “weakness” for a choir in his part of Italy called Cora della SAT. No one knows why…
Michelangeli arranged this Lullaby for the choir and I was blown away by the sound (listen below) and decided to make an arrangement for my guitar. Of course it can never be the same as on 3 male voices but I think it can be played on a solo guitar.
